Jackson Park

The southeastern city limits of Hendersonville touch the edges of this 220 acre park. An entrance gate is at the end of Fourth Avenue East. A second entrance, the Glover Street entrance, is accessible by turning onto Glover Street from U.S. 176 (Spartanburg Hwy). The largest municipal-owned park in Western North Carolina, Jackson Park offers activities and facilities for all ages. The park is open 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. daily. Facilities include: 2 concession stands. mountain bike skills park, 8 lighted tennis courts, 9 lighted softball/baseball fields, 2 soccer fields (2 regulation size), 2 lighted basketball courts, 3 playgrounds, 4 covered picnic shelters (for 50 - 150 persons), 20 woodland picnic tables overlooking the playing fields, modern restrooms, an Amphitheater, 1.2 mile Nature Trail, the Oklawaha Greenway Project, a 12 foot wide paved trail approximately ¾ mile in length, following Mud Creek through Jackson Park to 7th Avenue,
